Determining your warm season

So now that you have worked out you have a warm undertone you will fit into one of 2 broad seasons Autumn or Spring, these are then broken down further into 3 subsets depending on your hair and eye colouring. Autumn

If you are better suited to autumn colours then you will have a medium contrast between your hair, skin and eye colour. Typically auburn through to a rich deep chestnut hair, warm eyes and warm skin colour.

Spring

If you are better suited to spring colours then you will be bright and warm. Your hair is likely to be light but still warm, a bright colouring to your eyes and a fair colouring to your skin.

Getting down into the fine tuning now…

Having worked out your general season you can already start to head out to the shops and buys colours with new confidence. Your specific season just highlights the colours that really make you look good. If you are a Bright Spring bright colours and high contrast will really work but a deep brown will still look good, just not amazing.

Cool red Warm red colour

There are some colours that you are likely to be not sure about and one of the big ones is likely to be red.

If you look at a colour wheel Red mixes with blue to produce maroons and purples and mixes with yellow to produce the oranges so as you are warm you are looking for pure to yellow based reds (on the right) not blue based reds (on the left).

Having your colour analysis done will determine a more refined version of the colours that look good around your face. You will come away with a fan that contains a sample of your colours that you can take with you when you shop to help you get your eye in. Being Warm you could be one of the following depending on the value and depth of your look:

  • Warm Spring

    • Your overall look is warm but you are lighter than an Autumn, suiting clear colours rather than soft muted colours. You will have warm golden hair, bronze or golden skin and warm light eyes warm blue, topaz, olive green. Alternate names for your season include True Spring, Warm Clear, and Spring moving into Autumn.

  • Light Spring

    • A light Spring is dominated by being Light, with Ivory Skin with a peach undertone, light warm hair and light eyes including light brown. You have a very low contrast in your colouring and suit monochromatic colour pairings. Your season is also known as Light Warm or Spring moving into Summer

  • Clear Spring

    • Just like a Clear Winter you will have jewel like eyes that can't be missed but you have a warm look with light hair. With peachy skin and golden blonde or brown with golden highlights contrasting colours will work for you. Clear Warm, Bright Spring, and Spring moving to Winter are all terms to describe your season.

  • Warm Autumn

    • Warm Autumn is all about warm and soft colouring with a golden rich look that looks good in true autumn colours. Red or red brown hair, warm beige or golden brown skin and hazel, golden or warm brown or topaz eyes. This is True Autumn, Warm Soft, or Autumn moving into Spring

  • Deep Autumn

    • A higher contrast colourig than other Autumns, Deep Autumn has a darker colouring in terms of hair and eyes but lighter skin with shades such as olive, golden beige and honey brown. Also known as Deep Warm, Dark Autumn and AUtumn moving into Winter.

  • Soft Autumn

    • Soft Autumn is simlar to Warm Autumn but with the emphasis on a soft, low contrast look. Medium brown hair, neutral beige skin and light brown to hazel eyes. Can be called Soft Warm or Autumn moving to Summer.
